Uniforms:

Uniforms are not included in the season fees and are required for purchase by new Frederick Freeze players and existing players needing changes to their current setup (i.e. size, number, etc.).

Summer Hockey:

Roster selections for the Fall 2025 - 2026 season will also serve as the basis for our Polar Bears Spring/Summer tournament teams, at an additional cost to be found on the "Spring Hockey" section of our website. Scheduling conflicts and financial obligations will be considered as off-season hockey is not a requirement for participation in the regular season.

Frederick Freeze teams competing in both the CBHL and AHF can expect to play 50+ games between league play, non-league games, tournament schedules and potential league playoffs.

Teams only competing in the CBHL (8U, non-Gold girls, and non-AA 18U) should expect 30+ games.

The 6U Futures team is designed to be a practice-only team with a handful of non-league games and tournaments built in, amounting to about 15-20 games).

All teams are expected to participate in three tournaments throughout the season, with at least one being a destination location. Generally, one tournament is played locally, one within a four-five hour drive, and one within a six-ten hour drive (excluding 8U).

All teams competing in both the CBHL and AHF, as well as all 8U teams, have two 80-minute practices per week (excluding some holiday weeks).

Non-Gold girls teams and non-AA 18U teams have one 80-minute practice slot each week.

All teams (excluding 6U Futures) are expected to conduct dryland training and/or video review into their practice schedules. The Frederick Freeze has partnered with the City of Frederick to utilize the Riverwalk Park and Hillcrest Park roller hockey surfaces for dryland training and system walkthroughs.

Goalies will have the opportunity to work with Wolfe Hockey Development within their practices but also in goalie-only clinics separate from their team practice schedules. Goalie-only clinics will either take place at Skate Frederick or Laurel at Wolfe's Ice Den.
